Instructions

  1. Mix the margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 egg until frothy. Gradually add the remaining eggs one by one and stir until frothy. Stir in the milk. Then mix the cornstarch, flour, ground nuts, baking powder and cocoa dry and stir into the dough spoon by spoon. Finally stir in the chocolate sprinkles.
  2. Fill 3/4 of the dough into a greased wreath form (26 cm). Mix the well drained sour cherries with the rest of the batter and also fill the mold. Bake at 200 ° C for about 60 minutes.
  3. Baked as muffins this is a hit at children`s parties. The batter is enough for 2 12-cup muffin trays. Mix the cherries with the whole batter. Place a paper case in each of the hollows and pour in the dough. Bake at 200 ° C for 20 minutes.
  4. The dough is quite versatile. If you don`t have any nuts, you can just leave them out and replace the amount with flour. The chocolate sprinkles can be left out entirely and replaced with something else chocolate. I always bake the rest of the Santa Clauses or Easter bunnies here. You can also leave out the cherries and bake a dry sponge cake from them, which is not dry at all but very moist.
  5. I also like to bake a marble cake from the dough. To do this, make the dough without nuts, cocoa and chocolate. Retain some milk. Pour 2/3 of the dough into a greased wreath form (26 cm), mix the remaining dough with the remaining milk and cocoa on the white dough and mix with a fork. Bake at 200 ° C for about 60 minutes.
