Instructions

  1. Mix in the margarine and sugar until frothy, stir in the eggs one by one. Add the rum and the chocolate flakes. Mix and sieve the flour, cinnamon, baking powder and cocoa, then stir into the foam mixture.
  2. For the sour cream, mix the sour cream, quark, vanilla pudding powder and sugar and set aside.
  3. For the cherry filling, strain the cherries while collecting the cherry juice. Mix 60 ml of the cherry juice with the vanilla pudding powder and the sugar. Bring the remaining cherry juice to the boil and stir in the 60 ml cherry juice, then add the sour cherries. Let the cherry filling cool down.
  4. Spread half of the batter on a baking sheet and spread the sour cream on top. Then place the cherries on top of the sour cream. Spread the second half of the batter on the cherries or use a piping bag to make a grid.
  5. Bake the cake at 175 ° C (top / bottom heat) for about 35 - 40 minutes.
