Instructions

  1. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Melt the butter in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove. Add the milk, the egg and the vanilla extract to the butter and stir with the whisk until a homogeneous mixture is formed. Then put the butter mixture in the bowl with the dry ingredients and whisk with the whisk until all the ingredients are well mixed. The dough shouldn`t be too runny. If necessary, add a little more flour.
  2. Heat a pan on the stove. When it is warm, add a little oil and spread it with a brush. Shape small pancakes with a ladle and sprinkle with chocolate chips. When small bubbles form and burst, turn the pancakes and bake from the other side until they are light golden brown.
  3. Maple syrup goes well with it. Of course, other ingredients such as blueberries, chopped nuts or raisins can be used instead of or in addition to the chocolate chips.
