Instructions

  1. Break the chocolate into pieces and slowly melt with the cream over low heat.
  2. Pour off half of the resulting chocolate sauce and set aside.
  3. Mix the butter, sugar, vanillin and a pinch of salt until creamy, stir in the eggs one after the other.
  4. Mix in the flour, cocoa and baking powder.
  5. Slowly add the chocolate sauce (one half) and the milk alternately and stir again and again.
  6. Grease the waffle iron and bake about 10 waffles from the batter.
  7. Serve with the remaining chocolate sauce.
