Peel the potatoes and cook them with salted water (2 tablespoons salt), then mash them roughly.
Grate the onion and mix well with the minced meat, potatoes, turmeric, egg, salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into 8 equal pieces and shape into chops. Put the breadcrumbs on a plate and turn the chops in it.
Now fry the cutlets in oil in a pan. Tip: add a little salt to the pan before the chops come in.
