I recommend trying the soy steak recipe. In appearance, soy beefsteak cannot be distinguished from ordinary meat beefsteak, however, in terms of its taste, it did not leave indifferent the whole family, who treated soy meat “so-so”! A great option for those who are fasting, or just want to lighten and diversify the diet.
Boil the soy meat in salted water for about 10 minutes until soft. Drain in a colander and squeeze gently.
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté finely chopped onion for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
Add the drained soy meat to the onion and fry for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Finely chop the bell pepper.
Grind the soy meat and onion mixture using a blender until combined. Add the chopped bell pepper, some fresh parsley, soda, salt, and spices. Mix well.
Refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour.
Form the chilled mixture into patties or steaks. Place them in an oiled baking dish.
Bake at 180°C (356°F) for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
