Instructions

  1. Let the chives thaw. Put the sun-dried tomatoes in a bowl and scald with boiling water. Peel onions and cut them into fine pieces. Core the piri piri and cut into very fine strips. Mix the types of flour in a bowl with the help of a whisk. Dissolve the yeast together with honey in some of the measured water and pour vigorously onto the flour mixture. Cover with a clean cloth and let stand draft-free for about 10 minutes. If small bubbles have formed, you can continue working. The rest of the water (please not all at once, but at first maybe only 2/3 and then possibly in sips. It depends very much on the quality of the flour how much water you have to use !!!), add the egg, salt and oil, and add the whole thing to one Knead the smooth, elastic dough. As soon as the flour is kneaded, knead in the chives, chopped onion and piri piri. When the dough comes off the edge of the bowl, it`s done. Then cover the bowl again and place in a warm, draft-free place for 2 hours to stand. Then knead again properly and, if necessary, put in a small loaf pan. I didn`t have enough dough for a 24-inch loaf pan, so I made a small, elongated loaf out of the dough and enclosed it with a ring made of folded aluminum foil. Place the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper, cover and let rise for another 10-15 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat. Bake the bread in about 35 minutes on the lower rack. After the baking time, turn them out onto a rack. Tap the floor with your finger. If it sounds hollow, the bread is done. Turn the bread around and let cool down completely. It tastes great with a delicious salad plate. Total 25 pts / with 10 targets per target 2.5 pts.
