Instructions

  1. Slit the dates open with a sharp knife and remove the core. Soak the date halves in the orange juice and place in the refrigerator for about 3 hours or until they have softened.
  2. Now puree all the ingredients in a blender until there are no more pieces. Be careful with the amount of milk, it shouldn`t get too runny!
  3. Season the quark with honey to taste and divide it between two dessert bowls. Chill until ready to eat. If you want, you can also serve tangerines or oranges cut into pieces.
  4. Tips: If the quark is a bit too runny, you can stir in tender oat flakes (or melted flakes) to thicken.
  5. This dish tastes very Christmassy due to the gingerbread spice and is suitable as a dessert after a delicious Christmas dinner, as it is very light and low in fat. Personally, I also just like to eat the entire amount for breakfast.
  6. Variations: Adults can put the dates in Bailey`s or other liqueurs instead of orange juice.
