Instructions

  1. These are the delicious filled dough rolls that look like cigars. It is eaten warm as a main meal, preferably with a salad. But they also taste great cold and are therefore ideal to take with you to school or the like.Children probably eat 5 - 7 Böreks at once, for hungry adults it should be 8 - 10.
  2. Cut the yufka leaves in half lengthways. Instead of originally 10 sheets, you now have 20 pointed triangles in the shape of school cones. Moisten each sheet of dough a little with water with your fingers. Then the dough holds together better.
  3. Chop the parsley and knead well with the sheep`s cheese. Place a walnut-sized pile of this mixture at the widest point of each triangle of dough and roll up the dough tightly from the broad side up to the tip. Press the tip again firmly with wet fingers. Fry all Böreks in a pan with plenty of oil for about 7 - 8 minutes until they are golden brown, turning several times.
