For about 175 ml syrup, simmer the rock candy with the spices and water in a saucepan over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Don`t put a lid on it!
Let the syrup with the spices cool down and strain through a coffee filter bag. This makes it nice and clear. Then fill into a nice bottle and store in a cool and dark place.
Tastes good in coffee or tea and is wonderfully suitable for seasoning pastries or as a dessert sauce. Also good with American pancakes or crepes!
