Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in 300 ml of lukewarm water with 2 teaspoons of sugar. Put the flour, salt and oil in a bowl and add the yeast mixture and knead into a smooth dough and let rise for a short time. Meanwhile, bring the water to a boil in a saucepan, then stir in the sugar. Add the vanilla sugar and cinnamon and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  2. Knead the dough briefly and roll it out into a rectangle. Then brush the sugar-cinnamon glaze thickly and cut into strips approx. 5 cm wide. Fold the strips into wwwww snakes with the glaze facing up. Place the snakes in a parchment-lined springform pan. Now brush the surface with the rest of the glaze. You can also sprinkle almond sticks on top.
