Classic Creme Brulee Instructions

  1. In one container, mix the egg yolks with sugar and beat until light foam.
  2. In a separate bowl, heat the vanilla cream, covered over medium heat. Combine the cream with the yolk mixture.
  3. Strain the mixture through a sieve to avoid lumps.

  5. Cook creme brulee in a double boiler, adding water to the bottom, 40-45 minutes at 180 degrees.
  6. Cool the crème brulee after cooking for half an hour and grill the top with a gas burner.
