Classic Meatballs in Sour Cream Sauce Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion and mix with the minced meat, salt, and pepper until well combined. Form the mixture into balls the size of small chicken eggs, then roll in flour.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the meatballs for 8-10 minutes until golden brown on all sides, then transfer to a greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix the sour cream with roughly 1 cup of warm water, whisking until smooth. Pour the mixture over the meatballs.
  4. Cover the baking dish with a lid or foil and place in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F). Bake covered for about 20 minutes until the mixture is heated through and bubbling.
  5. Remove the lid or foil and bake uncovered at 180°C (356°F) for 1 hour.
  6. Serve with mashed potatoes or other vegetable side dishes.

Enjoy your meal!
