First put the coconut milk in a saucepan. Now add the same amount of water with the coconut milk can. Then add the same amount of rice. Halve the lemon, squeeze one half and add the juice. Put the other half in the saucepan with the cut side down. Add the star anise. Put on the lid.
Heat and simmer gently until the rice is firm to the bite. Remove the star anise and the lemon half before serving.
