Instructions

  1. Grind the coffee beans in a coffee grinder or use coffee that has already been ground. Pour the coffee powder into a wide-necked container with sufficient capacity, pour cold water over it and stir vigorously.
  2. Cover or close the jar with cling film and leave to stand for at least 12 hours at room temperature. Then strain the mixture through a coffee filter and pour it into a sealable bottle.
  3. The coffee essence obtained can be kept in the refrigerator for approx. 2 weeks. Makes about 700 ml of essence.
  4. You can use the essence very simply by adding hot water or hot milk in a ratio of 1: 3 or 1: 4, depending on the desired intensity, and sweetening it as required.
  5. As a refreshing summer variant, it is ideal to conjure up an iced coffee with cold water, vanilla ice cream and cream.
