First you separate the eggs and beat the egg whites very stiff. Then stir the butter together with the sugar until creamy, gradually adding the egg yolks. This is followed by the flour and baking powder, the nuts and the coffee and the flavor ingredients. At the end you lift in the egg whites.
The dough is filled into a greased and floured Gugelhupf pan and baked at 180 degrees lower and upper heat for about 45 - 60 minutes.
The cooled hops can be dusted with powdered sugar or coated with chocolate couverture.
