Clean the white cabbage, remove the outer leaves. Quarter the cabbage and cut out the hard stalk in a wedge shape. Cut the cabbage into fine strips (works best with a bread machine). Clean the peppers and cut into strips. Clean the carrots and grate finely. Cut the onion into small cubes. Mix everything in a large glass bowl.
Bring all the ingredients for the dressing to the boil in a saucepan and pour them hot over the salad.
