Instructions

  1. For the dough, mix the yeast with the milk and sugar and let rest for approx. 5 minutes. Knead with flour, butter and salt and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  2. Chop the basil and garlic very finely and mix with half of the cheese. Mix the pesto with the rest of the cheese.
  3. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Knead the green mixture into one part until the dough is homogeneous again, do the same with the remaining dough and the red mixture.
  4. Shape a total of 16 rolls of the same size, cut them crosswise and let rise for another 20 minutes.
  5. Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 190 ° C for 20-25 minutes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Possibly put a bowl of water in the oven.
  6. For a party, you can make twice as many small rolls out of the dough, which will reduce the baking time accordingly.
  7. Otherwise great for grilling in summer, instead of just baguette.
