Instructions

  1. Briefly preheat the oven. 140 - 150 degrees are enough, only the cheese has to melt. If you want it crispy, you should toast the bread beforehand. For children, of course, a slice of bread and possibly just an egg is enough. Brush the toasted bread with a little butter and put a slice of cheese on each.
  2. Prepare a pan with a diameter of 24 cm. Put some butter in the pan.
  3. Prepare 2 small bowls. Put one egg white in each bowl, put the egg yolks aside, I`ll leave them in half the eggshell. Now color each egg white with food coloring. Either you use the tubes (contain sugar, but you don`t notice the taste) or organic powder (with coloring foods and spices). Color to the desired color intensity. Stick it well with a fork (this will then foam a little).
  4. Cut the parsley or possibly the chives into small pieces.
  5. Now put the bread slices in the oven.
  6. Turn on the stove (first on high level), melt the butter and add an egg white to the pan. Hold the pan a little to the side so that the first egg white is only distributed to the middle. After about 5 seconds, pour the other egg white into the half that is still free. Reduce the heat. When the egg white begins to stagnate, the yolk can be placed. To do this, carefully slide the egg yolk onto the egg white and briefly hold it until it stops. Season with salt, pepper and paprika and sprinkle with herbs.
  7. Now take the bread slices with the melted cheese out of the oven, place them side by side on a plate and place the eggs on top.
  8. Also great as a surprise birthday breakfast. If you want, you can also add fried onions or fried onions under the egg or use a slice of ham. According to your taste. This recipe is very variable.
  9. In my photo, one egg yolk (on the green-yellow one) popped while placing it, so I just pushed the other one into the middle.
