Instructions

  1. Peel or core the four peppers, shallots, garlic and peppers and dice finely. Pluck the leaves from the basil and finely chop or weigh them.
  2. Put all ingredients (with the exception of the bread, of course) in a bowl, mix thoroughly and leave to steep for several hours (preferably overnight). Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (top / bottom heat). Cut the bread into oblique slices and drizzle about 1 tablespoon of the liquid that should have collected at the bottom of the bowl. Spread the slices on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Finally top the bread slices with approx. 1 tablespoon of the paprika mixture each. Arrange on plates or a large platter and garnish with a few whole basil leaves if necessary.
