Halve the white cabbage lengthways, cut into small strips and place in a bowl. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of salt on top and knead the cabbage like a dough. So it becomes soft and pulls juice.
Wash and core the pepper, cut into small pieces and add to the cabbage. Then peel the carrot and cucumber, roughly grate and also add. Now add 1-2 tablespoons of oil and the juice of one lemon. Season with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with a teaspoon of sugar. Mix everything well and leave to stand in the refrigerator for another half an hour.
Tastes great with fried potatoes, grilled meats, fish, steaks and in every season.
