Clean the Cornelian cherries and, if they are still present, remove the stalk. Then slightly score or crush the cornel cherries and place in a container and add all of the ingredients listed above.
The container, which should be made of glass and should be transparent, place it in the window sill and let it stand for 6-8 weeks or longer with frequent shaking. The liqueur becomes most intense and has the best taste when it has been standing for longer than 1 year.
Then strain the liqueur, pour it into appropriate bottles and close it.
The Cornelian cherry is a good source of vitamins. Due to its slightly sour taste, which the malic acid causes, it gives the drink a fresh note.
