Wash, peel and chop the fruit and place in a shallow bowl. The cottage cheese comes on top, nothing is mixed. Depending on your taste, you can drizzle some honey over the whole thing.
We were served this as breakfast in Mexico, it is enough for two people. Of course you can also take other fruits, but these are the types of fruit we got. I`ve also tried oranges instead of papayas here, which is also very good, as is the addition of strawberries.
The toast is simply eaten with it, but you can also put some of the fruit on a slice with cottage cheese.
It`s not just breakfast. I also like to make this salad for lunch on hot days with one or two slices of toast, or serve it without toast as a healthy little dessert when grilling.
