Fry the bacon, if left out, pour off some fat, add the shallot and sweat briefly, dust with flour and stir well. Add garlic. Pour in the cream and bring to the boil briefly. Reduce the heat and add the mushrooms, simmer for another 1 minute and season with pepper (be careful with salt).
Meanwhile cook the pasta, drain and then add to the sauce, mix well
and serve.
Spiciness can be achieved with chilli and a little freshness by adding fresh chopped parsley.
