Brush the toast slices with butter. Cover 4 slices with alternating 1 slice of cheese, ham and again cheese, then cover each with 1 slice of toasted bread.
Heat the butter in a pan. Roast the sandwiches on both sides until golden brown.
Meanwhile, fry 4 fried eggs in butter in another pan.
Now there is an egg for every sandwich. Salt, pepper and serve hot.
