A hearty snack from available products that can be prepared in literally 10-15 minutes – crispy, toasted baguette slices with a spread of canned sprat and pickles. Simple, fast, and budget. Try it!
Prepare foods on the list. To make croutons, you can use both white and black bread. I used a baguette.
Remove the canned sprat carcasses from the jar, place in a bowl, and mash with a fork until smooth.
Cut the pickled cucumber into small cubes and add to a bowl.
Mix everything well. Taste the mixture and season to taste if necessary with a little salt or ground black pepper.
Cut the bread into slices about 1 cm thick.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and brush with vegetable oil. Place slices of bread in a skillet and fry for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown on one side.
Then turn the bread over and fry for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
Transfer the toasted bread to a plate and spread the prepared sprat paste evenly over the croutons.
Chop the green onion finely and sprinkle on each crouton.
Croutons with sprat in tomato and pickled cucumbers are ready.
