Instructions

  1. For the dough, stir the fat until foamy and gradually add sugar, vanilla sugar, egg and salt. Stir in half of the sifted flour mixed with baking powder, tablespoon at a time. Pour the rest of the flour on the dough and work it with your hands or with 2 forks under it so that a crumbly mass is formed.
  2. For the filling, peel and slice the apples. Simmer harder apple slices with a little water, vanilla sugar and sugar until half cooked and chill. Mix the peeled apples with vanilla sugar and add sugar to taste.
  3. Pour half of the dough into a greased springform pan (26 cm), press the dough well on the bottom and slightly up on the edge, sprinkle it with breadcrumbs and place the apples on top so that an edge of about 1 cm remains free. Sprinkle the rest of the crumble evenly over the filling and lightly press it on the edge. Bake at 175-195 degrees in a preheated oven for approx. 45-55 minutes.
