Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes with the skin firm to the bite. Put some olive oil on a baking sheet. Place the potatoes on top and mash them with a potato masher, the peel should burst open wide. However, do not crush them too hard, they should be at least as high as hash browns. Brush with a little olive oil, sprinkle with the freshly ground pepper and the salt flakes or fleur de sel and, if necessary, place a few sprigs of thyme and / or rosemary on top. If you want, you can of course also use dried herbs.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven at 200 ° on the second rack from the top for about 20-25 minutes.
  3. The potatoes are easy to prepare. They are a delicious side dish to pan-fried meat with sour cream, but also wonderful as a vegetarian main course with a yogurt dip and pan-fried vegetables. The amount should then be adjusted accordingly.
