Peel and quarter the cucumbers, remove the seeds with a teaspoon. Then cut into approx. 2 cm cubes. Now put in a sieve, lightly salt, mix and let steep for 10-15 minutes. This removes excess water from the cucumbers.
In the meantime, peel the garlic and chop it into small pieces, peel the onions and cut into small rings, pluck the dill from the thicker stalks and cut finely. Mix vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper in a salad bowl, add the drained cucumber, leave to stand for 10 minutes.
