Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion cubes.
Quickly peel the cucumber, cut lengthways and scrape out the seeds with a teaspoon. Then divide the halves lengthways again and roughly dice the cucumber quarters as well. Add the cucumber cubes to the pot and brown them briefly.
Add the instant broth, sour cream, dill and sugar to the saucepan, stir everything well, reduce the heat. Refine with lemon juice and simmer on a low heat for a few minutes.
The cucumber vegetables go well with fried fish and mashed potatoes.
