Instructions

  1. Crumble the amarettini or butter biscuit finely and mix it with the lukewarm butter - let it steep.
  2. In the meantime, stir together the margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, custard powder and the eggs, then mix in the curd and cream. Fold in the whipped cream.
  3. Pour the biscuit mixture into glasses suitable for the oven (200 ml each) and distribute the curd mixture on top. Shake a little if necessary so that the mass is evenly distributed.
  4. Now it`s the turn of the apple rose:
  5. Prepare a bowl with water and a little lemon juice and a sieve. Wash the apples, cut them in half, carefully cut out the core and core. Now slice the apples into thin slices and place them in the lemon water straight away so that they don`t turn brown.
  6. Bring the apple juice and sugar to a boil in a shallow saucepan until the sugar has dissolved. Then turn the stove down to medium heat. Now add the apple slices in portions with a slotted spoon to the heated apple juice and let them steep briefly until they are just flexible. That goes pretty quickly and note that they still follow suit. They shouldn`t get too soft and overcook! Then take it out of the pot with a slotted spoon and pour it into the sieve.
  7. When you are done with the apple slices, let the apple-sugar-juice simmer and reduce to about half until it has turned into a syrup.
  8. Now lay out the apple slices on baking paper so that half of them overlap (with the red skin facing up). Depending on how big your apple blossom should be, 12 to 15 slices. The apple slices are now rolled up from left to right. You then put this role on your fingertips and carefully shape the flower by opening it a little from the inside.
  9. Then carefully place the flower on the jars. Place the glasses on the grid in the hot oven without touching each other and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 180 ° C fan oven.
  10. Then take the glasses out of the oven and carefully brush the apple blossoms with the boiled down syrup so that they keep their color and shine beautifully.
  11. Tastes delicious and is a real eye-catcher - good luck!
