Ever since I read the list of ingredients for a McDonald`s curry sauce, the idea of making a curry sauce based on applesauce has stuck with me. Then the other day I had a bit of applesauce left over and then just tried it.
Finely chop the onion and fry until translucent, deglaze with cream. Stir in the applesauce and heat. Stir in mustard, vegetable stock, salt and pepper and then add a lot of curry powder. Bring to the boil and immediately remove from the stove.
Goes well with rice. Not yet tried with roasted meat.
