Instructions

  1. The yeast dough can be prepared in the bread maker (dough setting). First put the lukewarm milk in the container. Then add the flour, sugar, margarine, pinch of salt and dry yeast. Start the program (approx. 90 minutes).
  2. Baking fans who do not have a bread maker put flour in a mixing bowl and press a hollow in the middle. Dissolve the yeast in half of the milk and pour into the well. Mix with a little flour from the edge. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for about 10 minutes. Add the rest of the milk, sugar, margarine and salt to the pre-dough. Knead everything well to form a smooth yeast dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for another 30 minutes.
  3. Knead the finished yeast dough on a floured work surface and divide into 16 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball, flatten it a little, cut in half. Shape each 1 rabbit head with 2 ears out of it. Place on 2 baking sheets lined with baking paper, cover with a kitchen towel and let rise in a warm place for approx. 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees (circulating air 140 degrees). Whisk egg yolks with milk in a bowl and brush the rabbits with it. Press raisins for eyes and noses, almonds for teeth and eyebrows into the dough. Bake each tray in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. If necessary, dust the cooled bunnies with powdered sugar.
