Instructions

  1. This recipe may be a little laborious, but it`s always worth the effort for a Sunday breakfast. The dough can be prepared the evening before.
  2. Knead all ingredients with a food processor for about 10 minutes. He then has to sleep in the refrigerator in a large plastic bag.
  3. Knead thoroughly the next day and process as described. The oven has to be preheated anyway. It is guaranteed to be worth waiting the hour for breakfast to finish.

  5. Knead the dough and let it rest for at least 2 hours (or leave it in the fridge for the night). Knead everything again thoroughly for 2 - 3 minutes. Divide the dough into 10-12 pieces and shape them into balls.
  6. Dip each ball in 50 grams of lukewarm melted butter (margarine works too, but it doesn`t taste that good). Place the balls at intervals on a greased round tray or in a springform pan.
  7. Pour the remaining butter over it, sprinkle with poppy seeds if necessary and bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
  8. Put the rolls on a baking sheet and bake them for a few more minutes, so that there is a nice crust at the bottom.
