- Melt the fat and allow the diced onion to become translucent. Add the sauerkraut and brown it briefly. Pour in the broth and simmer.
- Leave the diced bacon in a pan, add the bratwurst pieces and fry with them. Dust some paprika over it and quickly add everything to the soup.
- Season to taste with the spices and, if necessary, add a dollop of sour cream to the soup per plate. Serve very hot.
- For 4 people as a pre-soup.
