Instructions

  1. Fry the gyros without fat in a coated pan (season with gyros spices if necessary) and allow to cool.
  2. Meanwhile, clean the salad ingredients and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Mix the ingredients for the dressing into a thick cream and season to taste.
  4. Then layer in a larger glass bowl as follows:

  6. - Red onion
  7. - Gyros
  8. - Paprika strips
  9. - Corn
  10. - halved tomatoes

  13. and garnish with hot peppers.
  14. This salad tastes best at room temperature.
  15. Baked flatbread goes well with it.

  17. If you like, you can also add pickled feta cubes, fried aubergines or zucchini etc.
  18. Instead of gyros, spicy, fried tartare or minced lamb are also very tasty.
  19. If it has to be done very quickly, replace the dressing with slightly diluted, pre-purchased tsaziki (seasoning if necessary).
