Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms, remove the ends of the stumps, cut the mushrooms into thin slices. Finely dice the onion.
  2. In a pan, heat 1 teaspoon of oil or butter, depending on your taste, and sweat the onion cubes until translucent, then add the mushrooms and fry them. When the mushrooms are done, add the cream (or cream substitute), bring to the boil and reduce for a few minutes.
  3. Depending on your taste, add chopped dill, fresh or frozen, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. You can use this side dish as a sauce with pasta, as an accompaniment to schnitzel, fried fish, potatoes, rice or simply as a separate meal with bread. If you like it less fat, you can also use half cream substitute / half (low-fat) milk.
