The Cole Slaw from Kentucky Fried Chicken inspires young and old, but most of all it inspires dentists who, because of its high sugar content, cannot plug tooth holes as quickly as they arise. Here is a (half-hearted) sweetened version of the US classic of every barbecue party:
One two Three!
One: grate white cabbage, carrots, onions and celery very finely (can be done quickly with the food processor) and mix together.
Two: Stir the dressing together separately (mayonnaise, plain yogurt, milk or buttermilk), white wine vinegar, mustard, sugar and lime juice). Salt and pepper - and season again to taste.
Three: Mix the grated vegetables and dressing together and cover in the refrigerator for several hours. Cole Slaw tastes best the next day anyway.
Cole Slaw is suitable for every barbecue party, with a hamburger, with a steak, with anything pan-fried.
Even a hot dog that is covered with a layer of cole slaw instead of ketchup / mayonnaise / mustard is easy to find friends.
