Instructions

  1. Chicken Sandwich has nothing to do with Schick`n Sandwich, so it is not a new delivery service for American folding sandwiches, as some believe. The following recipe describes what it can be:
  2. Flatten the two halves of the chicken breast and place in teriyaki sauce. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least two hours, overnight if possible.
  3. Slice tomatoes, cut the onion into rings, prepare two lettuce leaves and cut two not too thick slices from a fresh pineapple (alternatively two slices from the tin).
  4. Fry / grill the chicken breasts in the pan (or on the grill) at medium temperatures. Because of the sugar content of the teriyaki sauce, the fillet browns relatively quickly. At a high roasting temperature, doubts would quickly arise as to whether it can actually be true that the creation of coal took millions of years and will distract you from the two pineapple slices, which also urgently need to be put on the grill or in the pan. At the end of the roasting process, put the two hamburger buns on the grill briefly and toast them.
  5. Now the assembly work can begin: Layer the mayonnaise on the underside of the bun, then the lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato and the grilled / fried chicken breast. When the onion rings on the chicken breast and the pineapple slice on the onion rings can be balanced, the hat, the second half of the bun, can be put on. And a chic sandwich is ready.
  6. I did without the popular slice of cheddar cheese because the recipe name would have become too long: Don Diego`s Grilled Teriyaki Chicken and Pineapple & Cheese Burger. However, if you can remember that, you can also put a slice of cheese on the pineapple.
  7. I recommend a portion of French fries and / or Don Diego`s Nat King Cole Slaw
