What could be tastier than homemade dumplings? Purchased ones, of course, cannot be compared. But sometimes there is simply no time to make homemade dumplings, then frozen semi-finished products from the store go to the rescue. This is where this recipe will help you! We will bake frozen dumplings in sour cream sauce with tomato paste, and we will also organize a cheese crust on top!
Combine sour cream, tomato paste, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
Pour in boiling water and whisk the combined ingredients until a smooth sauce is obtained.
Grease a baking dish with sunflower oil. Place the frozen dumplings directly from the freezer into the prepared dish. Pour the dumplings with sour cream and tomato sauce.
Cover the dish with a lid or foil and place in the oven for 20 minutes. Then remove the lid and bake the dumplings in the sauce for another 20 minutes.
Grate hard cheese on a fine grater. Sprinkle the dumplings with cheese.
Place the dumplings in the sauce in the oven for another 5 minutes, or until a cheese crust forms.
Baked dumplings in sour cream-tomato sauce are ready. Efforts on your part are elementary, but the dish turns out to be very worthy! Serve hot or warm baked dumplings to the table.
