Beat the butter until foamy, add the eggs and salt. Mix baking powder with flour, sieve and stir into the dough alternately with the milk (the easiest way is with the mixer and dough hook). Dumplings are cut off with a tablespoon and cooked in lightly salted, boiling water for about 15 minutes.
In the meantime you can dice the bacon and fry it until crispy brown. We also eat plum compote.
