Instructions

  1. In addition, 10 small clay flower pots with a diameter of 5 cm from the top are required.
  2. First place the clay pots in a bowl of water for about an hour.
  3. Put the quark, 6 tablespoon milk, oil, salt, sugar and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix everything with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Mix the flour and baking powder, add it to the bowl and knead everything into a smooth dough.
  4. Preheat the oven: electric stove 200 ° / convection 175 °, gas mark 3. Dice the marzipan and stir in the jam.
  5. Dry the flower pots and grease them well with margarine. Scatter them with breadcrumbs.
  6. Set aside 1/3 of the quark and oil batter for the heads. Roll the rest of the dough into a strand and divide it into 10 slices. Flatten them on a little flour. Put 1/2 teaspoon of marzipan mixture in the middle. Put the dough around it, shape it into a round shape and put it in the pots. Whisk the egg yolk and 1 teaspoon milk and brush the dough on top. Put the pots on the baking sheet and bake the bodies for 12-15 minutes until they are light brown.
  7. Cut the remaining dough into 10 pieces for the faces. Forms small balls, which are then rolled into an egg shape. Cut into the middle on the pointed side with a knife, pull apart a little so that two ears are created. Brush them with egg yolk. Then press in two currants for eyes, one currant for nose and four almond sticks for beard.
  8. Take the clay pots out of the oven and let them cool down. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and place the rabbit faces on it. Bake them also light brown for 10-12 minutes. Let them cool down.
  9. Mix the powdered sugar with the rum (alternatively lemon juice), the consistency must be quite thick, and put a small blob on each body. Then the head with a wooden skewer, e.g., a toothpick, stuck firmly on the icing sugar blob. It can also be glued on without a wooden skewer, but that way it holds better. Important: Please point out that there is a skewer in it, otherwise risk of injury when biting into it.
  10. Also attach the marzipan carrots to the body with powdered sugar and let them dry.
  11. The right pastries for Easter breakfast. Very tasty and, above all, so cute to look at.
  12. 306 Kcal per serving.
  13. Tip: You can also attach small bows as a ruff.
