Ingredients

• 1 ½ kg elderberries
• 700 ml water
• 1 ½ kg sugar
• 3 packs vanilla sugar
• 700 ml vodka or grain schnapps

Instructions

1. Boil the plucked berries well with the water, pour them through a sieve (you have often turned them through the Lotte liquor) and then pour them through a fine sieve again.
2. Return to the saucepan, add sugar and bring everything to the boil. Remove from heat, add vanilla sugar. Let it get cold.
3. Add vodka and pour into prepared bottles.
4. I usually make double the amount with 2 kg of sugar and then it becomes 7 bottles.
