The day before, pour the wine over the elderflower umbels and add the lime, cut into fine slices. Let this batch stand for about 24 hours at room temperature.
The next day, strain the liquid and refrigerate. Clean the strawberries and cut large fruits into pieces if necessary. Mix carefully with the vanilla sugar and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
To serve, add the chilled, flavored wine and sparkling wine or prosecco to the strawberries.
Annotation:
This punch can also be made with elderflower syrup. Then please pay attention to a dry white wine so that it doesn`t get too sweet. I make some of my syrup without sugar.
