Instructions

  1. Stir the butter until foamy while pouring in the sugar and vanilla sugar (you can also add the pulp of a vanilla pod). Add the eggs one after the other and whip until thick and creamy. Mix the flour, cornstarch and baking powder into the mixture alternately with the milk. Spread the dough on a deep baking sheet greased with the butter. Cover with the apple wedges.
  2. Note: It depends on how you place the apples - you may need a few more or less apples than stated. Please drizzle the apple wedges with lemon juice beforehand so that they do not turn brown.
  3. For the crumble, first divide the marzipan into small cubes. Put the flour, sugar, cinnamon and egg yolks in a bowl. Put the butter in small flakes on top and work everything into crumble with your fingers. Mix in the marzipan cubes. Spread the sprinkles over the apples.
  4. Bake the cake at 200 ° C in a preheated oven for about 35 minutes. Let it cool on the tray and then serve dusted with powdered sugar.
  5. Tip: If you like, you can also add a packet of vanilla pudding powder to the dough for cooking. Then use about 35 g less flour. This will give the dough a light yellow color.
