Instructions

  1. Put quark in a cloth and squeeze out the liquid.
  2. Or, better, put quark in a cloth, wrap it in and let it drain overnight in a colander. Change the cloth in the morning. Ideally, around 300g of quark are left over.
  3. Mix the quark with the eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, oil, milk and lemon bake to a smooth cream. There should be no more lumps of curd.
  4. Mix flour with baking powder and work under the quark cream until a yeast-like dough is formed.
  5. Let this rest for about 30 minutes and then knead again briefly by hand.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (convection 180 ° C).
  7. Roll out the dough and cut out rabbits etc.
  8. Brush with liquid margarine so that the rabbits stay soft while baking.
  9. Bake for about 10-15 minutes. Let cool down a bit, place on kitchen paper and brush with liquid margarine. Roll immediately in fine sugar.
  10. The recipe came about through my own experiments with my children.
  11. Tastes just like most of the bakery, but is much cheaper !!
  12. Personally, I don`t use a food processor, I work all the steps by hand. The dough will then be looser.
