Instructions

  1. For the gyros, peel the onion and garlic. Halve the onion and cut into thin rings. Finely chop the garlic. Wash the meat, pat dry and cut into 1.5 cm strips. Mix 3 tablespoons of oil and gyros seasoning salt. Mix with strips of meat, garlic and onion rings. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
  2. Roughly dice tomatoes and cucumber for the salad. Peel the red onion and cut into thin rings. Crumble the feta. Wash the thyme and pluck the leaves off. Mix the vinegar, salt, pepper and thyme together. Beat in 4 tablespoons of oil. Mix the cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, olives, feta and vinaigrette together.
  3. Heat a pan without fat. Fry the strips of meat in 2-3 portions all around over a high heat so that they brown. Season with a little salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the prepared salad on 4 plates and arrange appetizingly with the gyros and garnish with a pepperoni each.
  5. Pita or thin Arabic flatbread can be served with the salad.
