Instructions

  1. Wash the plums, cut them in half, stone them and then put them in a pressure cooker with the wholegrain rice and water. Cut open the vanilla pods and brush out the vanilla and add to the saucepan. I let the pods cook with them so that all the vanilla aroma is really used. Add the cinnamon and cardamom and close the pressure cooker. Cook on level 2 for a total of 20 minutes. Then take the pressure cooker off the stove and open it when the regulator is down.
  2. Remove the vanilla pods and place the pan back on the stove without the lid over medium heat. Add the rye flakes. Simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly - until the liquid has boiled away and the dish has the desired consistency.
  3. Tip:
  4. Barley flakes or rice flakes can also be used. If you want a high-carbohydrate meal that is as fat-free as possible, you shouldn`t use oatmeal, as their fat content is significantly higher.
  5. This dish can be cooked as a sweet lunch. Then it is enough for 2 hungry people. Breakfast is more likely for 3-4 people. It also tastes good as a cake substitute for coffee or as a dessert.
