Instructions

  1. Bring the oat flakes, linseed and water to the boil in a saucepan, stirring occasionally. Do not cook too long (if you want to take the porridge with you to the office, for example), because liquid will still pull in and the consistency will become firmer.
  2. Meanwhile, cut the apple into small cubes. Then stir into the hot porridge with the other ingredients, done.
  3. This recipe has now become my standard breakfast recipe and I cook it fresh for my son and me almost every morning.

  5. If I cook the porridge just for myself, I take 1 mocha cup of oatmeal, always double the amount of water (without milk, due to lactose intolerance) and put it in a large bowl for 2 minutes at 900 watts in the microwave.
  6. The rest of the preparation is done as described above, but with half of the ingredients.
  7. You can also use other fruit instead of the apple. I prefer to sweeten bananas with agave syrup and use coconut flakes instead of sesame seeds and cashew nuts instead of walnuts.
  8. You can take nuts which you want. A handful is always enough for the necessary bite.
