Instructions

  1. Heat and puree fig jam. Heat the fruit vinegar and the fig mixture and simmer for about 10 minutes over a low heat while stirring. Mix the mustard flour with 3 tablespoons of water and the mustard well. Take the saucepan off the stove and stir in the mustard mixture thoroughly. Put the pot on the hotplate again and heat the whole thing for another 5 minutes while stirring.
  2. Pour the finished fig mustard into prepared twist-off glasses, turn upside down for 2 minutes and allow to cool. The indicated amount is enough for 2 small glasses.
  3. Tastes good with different types of cheese.
  4. Tip: Mustard flour and fig jam with whole figs are available in shops selling Turkish groceries.
